Hello.  I’m Kathy Brandt.  My husband and I have sailed in the Caribbean for many years.  We both are avid scuba divers who love the ocean and the beautiful tropical setting.  I also love reading mystery novels.  In writing this underwater investigation mystery series, I wanted to share the beauty of the tropical sea environment, but I also wanted to let readers know that this world is threatened by human activity.  Each of the four books has a marine conservation thread woven into the mystery.  The main character, Hannah Sampson, is a homicide detective, an expert scuba diver, and an underwater investigator.  She’s tough and determined and, like me, learns to love the tropical undersea life and setting, even though it may be the scene of a crime.
